After having had our submissions closed whilst we performed some maintenance on the group, submissions are now reopened! You are now free to submit content to the group again; however, we've made a lot of changes, so please make yourself aware of these before submitting:
The Changes1.) We've had a complete overhaul of the folder categories. Hopefully this tidies things up and makes finding the tutorial you want easier. The new categories are as follows:
- Featured (submissions are not open to this folder)
- Films
- Demo Reels & Trailers
- Pre-Production Work
- Pre-Production Tutorials
- Production Tutorials
- Post-Production Tutorials
- Live Reference Footage
2.)
We no longer accept Flash submissions. Deviations in the Flash gallery will no longer be accepted into the group - however, a deviation
created with Flash, but saved to a video format and uploaded to the Film & Animation gallery
is acceptable. For more information on submitting to the Film & Animation gallery, please check out this link:
FAQ #842: How do I become a submitting member of the film community?3.) Whilst we already had a clear 'no copyrighted music' policy in place, we have now also clarified our stance on copyrighted characters. #
theanimationsource will only accept original works,
not fanart/fanvids or other deviations using copyrighted characters, unless that character belongs to you as an artist.

What do we accept in our gallery? Tutorials and How-to videos on animating and video resources for movement (for example, a real horse walking). We accept all animation tutorials, but we are not a group for graphics (No .gifs!!!).
